New Yoga 101 at Prana Center with first-ever male teacher!!

New Yoga 101 at Prana Center with first-ever male teacher!!

New school year –  new you! Why should kids get all the fun? Try something new at the Prana Center with our new Yoga 101 class. This 4-week session is the perfect introduction to this ancient practice that gives you very up-to-date results!

It's ideal for anyone with absolutely zero Yoga experience up to about 6 months - or, honestly, anyone who wants to brush up on the basics.

If you've been curious about Yoga but found something holding you back, this is the perfect way to start!

There's got to be a reason more than 37 million Americans practice yoga! Truly, yoga is for everyone. In this highly supportive beginner’s yoga class, you will learn the basics of postures, alignment and breath. Learn strategies to help you practice safely and develop confidence. Class moves at a gentle pace with opportunity for questions and individual attention. Each week offers a complete yoga experience with centering, warm-ups, postures for stretching and strengthening, and deep relaxation.

You will learn fundamental yoga poses… experience breathing at its fullest… and explore remote corners of your brain through short meditations.  No yoga experience is necessary.  You will come away with tools to reduce stress, a more resilient body, and a newly-awakened sense of compassion.

Your teacher will be Dave Dunbar, new to the Prana Center but not new to yoga.  Certified by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2005, Dave teaches at four locations in our area and brings his deep personal commitment to yoga and professional teaching experience to every class. As someone who came to yoga in mid-life (Dave is a retired publishing exec!), he is the ideal person to transmit this wonderful practice to beginners.

This 4-week beginner’s yoga series of classes will begin Tues., Sept. 13

Class time 6-7pm. Four classes for just $59 OR – better yet – sign up with a friend and pay just an extra $40!

Deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 9. We do reserve the right to cancel the class if there is insufficient enrollment. More details here: http://www.pranacenter.com/yoga-class/beginners-yoga/

To sign up visit pranacenter.com or mail a check to Prana Center, 21 Charles St., Holliston, MA 01746 and write “Yoga 101” on your check.

In the Trenches at the Barrett-Jackson Auction

by Paul Saulnier

For the past bazillion years car lovers in the Northeast have had to travel south and west to attend a Barrett-Jackson auction. But now we have our own B-J right here in Connecticut. Badged with my first ever press pass, I had access "behind the lines" at the Barrett-Jackson auction at the Mohegan Sun Casino.
