Wow. Karen Dinehart engages in sword fight

Ready for an evening with great actors, colorful costumes, witty lines and lots of laughter? Come see the Washington Street Players perform "Moon Over Buffalo".

If laughter is the best medicine, then forget your prescription drugs and see Moon Over Buffalo instead. This hilarious play, to be presented on October 28th and 29th and November 3rd – 5th in the upper Town Hall involves two fading stars of the 50’s, Charlotte and George Hays. They are reduced to performing as a repertory company, presenting either Cyrano De Bergerac or Private Lives. On the brink of a split up caused by George’s philandering with a younger cast member, Frank Capra comes to town to see them perform and perhaps cast them in his new movie. Ah! A chance at stardom.  Can they pull it off? Well….

The play is a classic farce, full of slamming doors, people dashing about, general hysteria, and, yes, sword fighting. Misunderstandings abound, and what can go wrong does go wrong.

Directed by Jim Porter, the cast includes Chris Erath, Karen Dinehart, Mark Prokes, Erin Anderson, Billy Del Sesto,Paul Gillespie, Judy Davis, and Krystyana Greaves.

The play is fast-paced, the acting excellent, and the funny lines don’t stop coming. I sat in on a rehearsal and laughed continually. So, if you enjoy laughing, good lines and good comedic timing, this performance is for you. Be sure to save one of the dates!
