Holliston DTC to host candlelight vigil

Members of the Holliston Democratic Town Committee will be hosting a candlelight vigil on Saturday, December 10 from 4-5 p.m. on the green at the Congregational Church.

The vigil marks the 4th anniversary of the Sandy Hook School shootings in Newtown, Conn., when a lone gunman took the lives of 20 children and 6 staff members. Candles will be lit in remembrance of those 26, as well as all who have been victims of gun violence in the years since.

All are invited to attend this community remembrance ceremony. Candles will be provided.

The Holliston Democratic Town Committee meets regularly, on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Their next meeting is Saturday, December 10 at 10 a.m. in the Selectmen’s Room in Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public and anyone interested in Democratic grassroots politics is welcome and encouraged to attend.
