Annual Party for the Holliston Pantry Shelf has a New Venue
 
January 22, 2017 - The Holliston Pantry Shelf SOUPer Bowl will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at a new venue.  Christ The King Lutheran Church, located at 600 Central Street in Holliston will host the popular fundraiser this year.  The event will be held from 5 - 7:30 p.m.

The SOUPer Bowl is the single largest annual fundraising event for the Holliston Pantry Shelf, according to Holliston Pantry Shelf President Steve Bradford.   “We are so grateful to the wonderful community members, organizations, and businesses that support the Pantry through our SOUPer Bowl initiative.  It is remarkable that this fundraiser is in its 10th year and we continue to enjoy the same high level of enthusiasm and participation,” said Bradford.

Guests are invited to gather together to support the Pantry and enjoy a dinner featuring gourmet soups donated by local businesses.  Fresh breads, beverages and homemade desserts are also included in the meal.  The Pantry is pleased to announce the following local businesses have generously donated soups for this year’s event:

Bertucci’s: Sausage Soup (Gluten Sensitive)
Casey’s Crossing: Chili
Bazels: Butternut Squash (Vegetarian)
Holliston Superette: Chicken Noodle
Jasper Hill Cafe: Curry Chicken Coconut
Outpost Farm: Corn Chowder (Vegetarian)

Guests will also have a chance to win exciting prizes in a drawing that features goods and services donated by local businesses.

Tickets are being sold at Coffee Haven, Holliston Superette and Town Clerk's Office. Adults 12 and older are $15, Seniors 65+ and children 6 to 11 are $8, and admission is free for children up to 5 years.

The Holliston Pantry Shelf serves close to 200 families in town, and is entirely operated and staffed by volunteers in the community.    Any resident of Holliston may go to the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall to obtain a Panty ID card, which entitles them to shop weekly at the Pantry.  Shopper’s identities are kept strictly confidential.

The Holliston Pantry Shelf is located at 23 Water Street.   Donations are always welcome.  Pantry Hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 2 pm, and evening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 7:30 pm.   If the Pantry is closed, donations can be placed in the large box directly outside the Pantry entrance.
