Sgt. Stone now Chief Stone

It is official 

As of noon on Wednesday April 5, 2017, Sgt.Matthew Stone was sworn in as the Chief of Police  for the Holliston Police Department.

At noon on Wednesday April 5, 2017 Sgt. Matthew Stone  became the Chief of the Holliston Police Department replacing retiring Chief John Moore. Assistant Town Clerk Dyan Fitzgerald had the honor to swear him in. As of noon on the 5th, Chief Stone now has the responsibilities and duties as chief.

Retiring Chief Moore presents the Badge of Chief to his successor Chief Matthew Stone.

Relatives, friends and members of the police department proudly witnessed the brief ceremony. The new chief thanked all for coming.

Chief Stone with mother Beverly, wife Sara and 16 month old son Harrison.

A formal public swearing-in ceremony is scheduled on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

We congratulate Chief Stone and wish him all the best.

Water Ban as of May 1st.

A water ban is in effect in Holliston under the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Water Management Protection's Act effective May 1st banning non-essential outdoor water use.

April 17th is the official Patriots' Day, locally known as Marathon Day, but it is the day of the Paul Revere ride re-enacted by locals. Paul Revere does have a real Holliston connection too.
