Newcomers Grant Awards Night

by Frances Pleska
May 5, 2017

The Board and Committee Members of the Holliston Newcomers Club hosted their annual Grant Awards Night at the Holliston Historical Society.  We celebrated a successful fundraising year and presented awards to many wonderful recipients within our community.  The hard work and dedication of the Newcomers Club members made the donations possible.  Awards were given to the Holliston Auxiliary Police, Holliston Pantry Shelf, HHS Senior Class of 2017, the Holliston Public Library, Holliston Parks and Recreation Department, PTO Robert Adams Culture Connection, PTO Placentino Culture Connection, Friends of the Community Farm, The Marigold Project, and Holliston in Bloom.

The Holliston Newcomers Club is a nonprofit organization that coordinates charitable, social, civic, and educational events and activities in the town of Holliston, Massachusetts. Our goal is to encourage association among community members and to foster community spirit. Our membership is open to residents and non-residents of Holliston, and you need not be new to the area to join.

Please join our next fun family event on Saturday June 10th   Touch-a-Truck will be held at Sam Placentino Elementary School from 9:30 to 1:00 pm.  Come explore your favorite vehicles – climb aboard, honk the horn, and talk to the drivers! Then take a ride on the roaming railroad, get your face painted, and grab a bite to eat!  Rain Date: June 11 Price: $5/person over age 1 or $20/family.  For more information visit www.hollistonnewcomers.org
