Farm Advisory & Friends of Community Farm on a Roll

The Community Farm Advisory Committee (CFAC) met Tuesday night. Chairwoman Kris Westland announced that fencing for the community bee avairy will be delivered soon. Fencing for a privacy barrier between the farm and a next door neighbor will also arrive this week. The fence is being installed by CFAC members and Friends Of the Farm to save money.

PJ Kilkelly, Chairman of the Friends of the Community Farm, announced that $694 had been raised at the recent egg hunt. The sale of daffodils grown on the fram and sold downtown recently netted the group $480. Above Amine Benali, a member of the CFAC, presented Kilkelly with a $500 donation which Benali collected from friends. Kilkelly noted that middle schoolers will be planting pumpkin seeds at the farm on May 25th and the Friends will hold a Family Farm Day on June 11th from 10am -4 pm.

Understanding the risks associated with contaminants in our environment

Researchers at Boston University are working with a group of Holliston residents to understand the risks associated with contaminants in our environment, including drinking water. We are currently recruiting participants for a small, short study to measure chemicals using children's naturally shed teeth.
