Food Truck Festival A Hit

by Bobby Blair
May 8, 2017

Things looked pretty dim for the 2nd Annual Food Truck Festival earlier in the week with a forecast for showers. But the skies cleared and although not balmy, the grass was dry enough for festival goers to throw out a blanket and enjoy the day.

Organizers for the event, which benefits the local American Legion Post #47, Lena Arena-DeRosa and Jane Gilfoy stood guard at the east driveway greeting townspeople on Sunday. Theresa Lamkin, Carl Damigella and Legion Commander Steve Bradford also serve on the organizing committee.

Gooch belted out tunes for the event.

Bon Me! seemed to be a favorite with the waiting line 30 deep.

It was a great day for man and beast.

The event this year was held a month earlier than last year due to scheduling. While some felt the crowd was smaller than last year, other events were taking place in town such as the HYBSA parade.

The committee is already talking about next year and sincerely thanks all the sponsors who make this event a successful one.
