Green Communities Forum on HCAT

by Press Release
June 29, 2017

If you missed our Holliston Green Communities Forum on May 6, you're in luck. You can see it now on HCAT!

The forum will air on Holliston Cable Access Television (Verizon ch. 32, Comcast ch. 8) on Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m.; Sunday, 7 p.m., and Monday at 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Viewers can also watch it anytime on-line through HCAT's Video on Demand.  Thank you HCAT!

Holliston received its Green Communities designation from the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs in December 2015.  The forum featured Kelly Brown, Central Region Green Communities Coordinator, and Jeff Ritter, Holliston Town Administrator discussing how the grant money awarded in 2015 was used by the town.

An update

Holliston was recently awarded the Green Communities Challenge Grant! The town will receive $247,000 to continue to work toward promoting Holliston's sustainability goals.

The grant, presented to Mr. Ritter at the State House, recognizes Holliston as a star member of the Energy and Environmental Affairs’ Green Communities program.

“We’re going to be looking at energy efficiency at the senior center, library, and Town Hall,” according to  Ritter, “as well as acquiring two electric vehicles and a charging station.”
