Celebrate Holliston Parade - 2010

by Paul Saulnier
August 10, 2017

Celebrate Holliston 2017 is on SEPTEMBER 16th

As paraders arrived at Placentino School on Woodland Street, it was John Shannahan's job to get them organized and on the road by 9:00 AM.

People, animals, and floats started arriving before 8:00 AM and setting up wherever there was space.

The Mass State Lancers arrived in force. For Ceasar, this was his first parade.

When someone asked Lex to build an energy car, they forgot to say energy "conservation". This antique Camero gets about 10 gallons to the mile under full power.

The Historical Society, celebrating 100 years paraded with a horse drawn carriage and was awarded the Blue Ribbon.

Newcomers Club float (above and below). Jason Green of J. Green Plumbing & Heating helped build the float and did the driving.

Judging from the reaction of the crowd as the parade passed by, Shannahan and his volunteers did a great job with the 2010 Celebrate Holliston Parade.
