David E Stone at 82

David Ellery Stone, 82, formerly of Holliston, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in NC. Born in Scituate, he was the son of Barbara (Rohnstock) and Walter Stone. D avid was head of the math department for many of his 32 years at Holliston High school and was their assistant varsity football coach for over 25 years. He also worked in different capacities for the town and was very active in the Lions Club. David gave a tremendous amount of his time to the Town of Holliston before retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Katherine of Galax, VA and predeceased by his first wife Janet of 49 years. He has five surviving children, Linda McNeil and her husband, Timothy of Holliston, Dean Stone and his wife, Karyn of Bellingham, Cindy McLawhon and her husband, Greg of Hickory, NC, Douglas Stone and his wife, Suzanne of Northbridge and Brian Stone of Saratoga Springs, NY. He has two surviving brothers, Leonard Stone and his wife, Faith of Middleton and Gerald Stone of Scituate. He also has 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11am at St. Michael's Church, 1162 Highland Street, Holliston, MA. Memories can be shared online at www.highcountryservice.com.
