Selectmen met Monday night at their newly appointed hour of 7 pm vs their previous meeting time of 7:30 pm The public portion of the meeting was brief only a half hour before the board met in executive session with the Board of Assessors to discuss compensation.

Republic Services (the town's trash collector) was on hand to present the town with a check for $10,000. The board did not say whether the monies were earmarked or would be put in the town's general funds. Town Administrator, Jeff Ritter, said that the weatherization of the senior center is now complete. Selectman Mark Ahronian noted that the Lion's Club as well as the DPW would be stringing holiday lights downtown on Tuesday in preparation for the HBA's Holiday Stroll.

Library Trustees accompanied Karla Alfred far right to the meeting to request that she be appointed as a library trustee. Alfred said volunteering is her way of giving back and helping the library grow. Selectmen Marsden pointed out Alfred's impressive resume and the board voted 3-0 to have Alfred hop on board.
