Winter Parking Ban in Effect - No Street Parking Between 1 AM to 5 AM

Busy Afternoon for Police and Fire Departments

Police on Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 pm responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Pleasure Point Road. No injuries and the vehicle was towed to Bellingham by AAA. The fire department earlier in the morning at 10:47 am were called to New England Water Works at 124 Hopping Brook Road for a gas leak. At 2:45 pm responders were called to October Hill Road in the New Englander Industrial Park for a woman who had fallen down several steps with a possible broken leg. At 3 pm firemen were called to 740 Prentice Street for a possible chimney fire. Several minutes later at 3:05 pm the ambulance responded to Prospect Street for a woman who had fallen on the ice.
