REMINDER

Every year on Boy Scout Sunday - Boy Scout Troop 14, which is sponsored by Saint Mary's holds a fundraising event for the activities the troop undertakes. The event is a pancake breakfast held at St Mary's in Holliston from 8AM till NOON and serves unlimited pancakes and sausages with hot coffee and orange juice. The cost is $5 per person, any scout in uniform is free, and $20 limit per family.

The Scout Sunday tradition was started to make people in houses of worship aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out their "Duty to God" pledged each week. The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and the Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God".These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith.

The event is combined with all scouts attending the 9:30 Mass in full uniform and procession.

This event always helps raise funds for the troop for the various activities occuring over the year - community actions, merit badge and rank advancement, youth adventures such as hiking and camping, as well providing funds to purchase required equipment for such advents.
