Eugene Zicuis, 69

CENTERVILLE – Eugene “Gene” Zicuis, 69, formerly of Holliston, died peacefully on March 7, 2018.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife Maureen Knotts of Centerville, son Paul Zicuis and his wife Ariel from Doylestown, PA, his step daughter, Tara Whitney and family of Newfields, NH and his brother, Francis Zicuis and wife Kathleen of Worcester, MA. He was also a loving grandfather to Ashley and Emily, with a third granddaughter expected in April.

Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1948 and son to Michael and Mary Zicuis, Gene graduated from Wayland High School and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps.

His passion for banking led him to earning a Degree in Finance from Fairfield University. He contributed to the success of various local Banks and Credit Unions through his Executive roles.

His civic contributions included serving as a Chairman of the Finance Committee in Holliston and President of the Kiwanis Club.

Genewasa devoted Catholic, whose passions included Boston Sports, his dog Cocoa, fishing, boating and cruising around Cape Cod in his convertible. He has left his family

and friends with many great memories that will be forever cherished.

The family would like to thank Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Cape Cod Hospital for their compassion and care.

Visiting Hours will be 3-5 pm Saturday, March 10th at John Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills followed by a prayer service at 5 pm. Burial will take place 10:00 Monday, March 12th at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
