Margaret (Peggy) E. Enquist (Field) was a longtime resident of Holliston, Massachusetts. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 20, 2018 in Oceanside, California, she was 79 years old. Peggy was born May 30, 1938 in Nova Scotia. She was the longtime companion of the late Richard Thompson of Holliston, Massachusetts. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Lahey of Framingham, MA and Donna DeCourcy of Holliston, MA, her children, William Enquist of Oceanside, CA, Linda Enquist and her wife Lisa Datri of Oceanside, CA, Elizabeth Woods and her husband Douglas Woods of Fallbrook, CA and David Enquist of San Diego, CA, two grandchildren, Sarah and Jeffrey Enquist, her faithful canine companion, Olivia, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends, including those from 30+ years working at Filenes/Macys department store. Peggy was an avid quilter, bridge player, and gardener. She loved socializing with friends, including at a weekly burger night. She was a generous supporter of the MSPCA, St. Judes Hospital, and Paralyzed Veterans of America. If you asked Peggy what she wanted to be when she was young, she always said, a mother. It was her true calling and she fulfilled that nurturing role not only with her own children, but with many others that she encountered along her path in life. A celebration of Peggys life will be held in Holliston, MA in the near future. Memorial donations in Peggys name can be made to the MSPCA.
