Holliston, MA - On February 10th, 20-year old Olivia Berit Bergstrom was brutally murdered in her Needham apartment - devastating her family and her community.
Three months to the day after her tragic death, Olivia’s friends and family are coming together to celebrate her life and raise money for a scholarship in her name.

Celebrating Olivia will take place Thursday May 10th from 7-10pm at the Asa Whiting Barn in Holliston, MA.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite
The event will include music by Hank Wonder, food trucks, and a cash bar.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Olivia Berit Bergstrom Scholarship award, newly established in her honor at Holliston High School.

The event is made possible by Dover-Sherborn Regional High School friends of Olivia’s mother, Kirsten Bergstrom, who came together to create something positive from this tragedy and support their friend in her time of need.

Donations to the Olivia Berit Bergstrom Scholarship Awards can be made payable to:
Olivia Berit Bergstrom Memorial Trust
447 Marshall St
Holliston, MA 01746-1417

More about the scholarship award:
This award is given in memory of Olivia Berit Bergstrom, a 2016 graduate of Holliston High School. Olivia was a gentle spirit who had many passions in her life. She cared deeply about her family, friends, nutrition (veganism), art and animals. These interests gave her life direction and led her to pursue college degrees in art and nutrition, and to raise and nurture horses.

Unfortunately Olivia’s life was tragically cut short, but her spirit and love for helping others and caring for animals lives on.

In honor of her strength, dedication, and commitment to pursuing the things she held most dear, Olivia’s family would like to support other students in their endeavors to follow their passions. Scholarship applicants should explain
what their passion/motivation is, their lifestyle, work and/or volunteering they do to support their interest, and how they will continue this pursuit in college. These don’t have to be Olivia’s interests; her family wants to understand what gives each scholarship applicant the direction in their life, whatever that interest may be. Monies should be used for any post-graduate education or learning experience that fits the mission of the scholarship.
