May 12, 2018

On Saturday, May 19 from 12 to 4pm, the streets of Holliston will fill with music as more than a dozen bands perform for Holliston Porchfest 2018. Visitors will be able to catch a variety of local artists across a range of genres playing on front porches in Holliston’s Downtown Village Business District and Mudville Neighborhood. Some of this year’s acts include: Sheez Late, Ricky Robidoux, Joe Hobbit, as well as live music all day at Jasper Hill Café and Casey’s Crossing.

“Porchfests” are becoming increasingly popular across the country, with communities gathering to hear live local music and celebrating with a spirit of togetherness. Holliston Porchfest aims to introduce town residents and neighbors to some of the finest local live musical acts that have ever un-plugged their instruments.

The event is made possible by donations from the community, and tip jars and merchandise will be available to help support the local the musicians who are generously offering their time and talents. Visitors are encouraged to donate as much as they can. Sponsorships are also available for local businesses who wish to help support the event and the artists.

Porchfest takes place in conjunction with Springfest, an event hosted by the Holliston Business Association which includes a flea market, specials and samples from local businesses, a car show, and food trucks.

Special thanks to the Holliston Cultural Council for supporting this year’s event through a grant designed to help offset the costs of the event and support the arts.

For more information or to register as a musical act for the event, please contact the organizers Jay Marsden and Angela Page at 508-858-5324. All genres of music are welcome.
