Holliston Youth Baseball & Softball Annual Diamond Cup Golf Tournament

Friday June 8th Golf Tournament to Raise Money for Youth Baseball and Softball

May 23rd, 2018 -   Holliston Youth Baseball and Softball is once again excited to host the Diamond Cup Golf Tournament – its flagship fundraiser for the program.    This year the tournament will be held on Friday June 8th at Pinecrest Golf Course.  The tournament is a 1:00 shotgun start with a dinner and event to follow

“The HYBSA golf tournament is a great way to get out with your friends and neighbors, play some golf and at the same time raise money for youth sports” said Dan Larche, President of HYBSA. “We had a tremendous turnout last year and it looks like this year will be no different”

There are over 440 kids involved in Holliston Youth Baseball and Softball and with the funds raised from last year’s tournament, HYBSA has invested in significant field improvements as well as in new bats for the program.

Last year’s tournament winners were Bryan Sweeney, Dave Paquette, Eric Kunich and Eric Spada.

To sign up visit the Event Website at https://www.planmygolfevent.com/31769-2018HYBSADiamondCupGolfTournamen or email event organizer Jason Krantz at jkrantz@definitivehc.com

HYBSA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization

The Much-anticipated Mudville Traffic Study is Here!

by Chris Cain

When I studied science in school (in addition to reading, writing, and 'rithmetic of course), the professor would say, "In God We Trust, All Others Bring Data." Holliston's Board of Selectmen must have gone to the same school because they wanted data before considering any traffic volume and speed mitigation strategies in Mudville. The McMahon group recently delivered their 104 page report to the Selectmen (and to the public via the town's website). https://www.townofholliston.us/sites/hollistonma/files/uploads/mcmahon_mudville_traffic_pattern_analysis_memo_2018-11-07.pdf Rather than having everyone read the entire report, below are some of the data presented in a 'did you know' format. Did you know the current speed limit on all streets in Mudville is exactly the same as on Route 16 in downtown Holliston - 30 mph. Looking at the compilation photo above, what might strike you - besides that there are no speed limit signs anywhere in Mudville?
