Trash Truck Brings Down Wires

by Bobby Blair
May 29, 2018

Ah - back to work after a three day holiday. The local Mudville trash truck ran into problems Tuesday morning at 7:31 am when his big blue rig pulled down wires from a house at 51 Mechanic Street. The wires which had been hanging low for at least a week with a small red ribbon tied to them promptly fell across School Street. Officer Mike Woods appeared on scene as did Fire Chief Mike Cassidy. The wires were quickly removed. Reminder to residents - trash pickup is delayed one day during the week due to the holiday.

Over night a vehicle struck a pole at 2:33 am at the town line of Milford/Holliston near Rockland Street. The driver was able to exit his vehicle and Verizon was called to access the damage.
