Friday, May 25

1:49 am: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Highland Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

7:50 am: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on South Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:40 am: Assistance Call - Deputy Jim Moore and Engine 4 responded to a residential lockout on Kingsbury Drive.

9:25 am: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Elm Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

2:05 pm: Fire – Deputies Mark Dellicker and Jim Moore, and Engines 1 and 3 responded to a dumpster fire on Mechanic Street.

7:09 pm: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

 

Saturday, May 26

1:24 am: Medical – An ambulance from Medway Fire responded to a medical emergency on Granite Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

10:00 am: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Winter Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

2:02 pm: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Stagecoach Road. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

6:25 pm: Medical Alarm – The ambulance responded to a medical alarm activation on South Street. No EMS was required.

9:56 pm: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. The response was canceled prior to arrival.

 

Sunday, May 27

2:40 am: Investigation – Weekend Duty Officer Deputy Jim Moore investigated an alarm activation on Locust Street.

10:17 am: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Alert Ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Great Meadow Road. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

10:18 am: Investigation – Deputy Jim Moore investigated illegal burning on Highland Street.

1:22 pm: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Winter Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

 

Monday, May 28

12:00 pm: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Elm Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

12:37 pm: Medical – An ambulance from Sherborn Fire responded to a medical emergency on Cranberry Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.

12:49 pm: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Appleyard Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

7:17 pm: Medical – Chief Michael Cassidy, Deputies Mark Dellicker and Jim Moore, Rescue 1, Engine 4, and the ambulance responded to a motor vehicle crash on Washington St. There were no injuries.

 

Tuesday, May 29

7:40 am: Investigation – Chief Michael Cassidy responded to wires down on School Street.

8:05 am: Medical Alarm – The ambulance responded to a medical alarm activation on Praying Indian Way. No EMS was required.

9:23 am: Investigation – Chief Michael Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Washington Street.

10:50 am: Investigation – Chief Michael Cassidy investigated smoke on Cranberry Lane.

12:35 pm: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Summer Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

2:45 pm: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on South Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:14 pm: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Fallon EMS responded to a medical emergency on Central Street. A Medford resident was transported to Mass General Hospital.

11:54 pm: Investigation – Chief Michael Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Johnson Drive.

 

Wednesday, May 30

3:43 am: Medical – The ambulance and paramedics from Community EMS responded to a medical emergency on Summer Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

7:15 am: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Wilkins Rd. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.

12:05 pm: Motor Vehicle Crash – The ambulance responded to a motor vehicle crash on Washington Street. One individual was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

1:00 pm: Investigation – Chief Michael Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Dorset Road.

4:20 pm: Medical – The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

 

Thursday, May 31

Great news! Medway Fire now has paramedics. Now Holliston residents have a 7th choice for mutual aid Advanced Life Support! Meanwhile Holliston continues slogging along in the 1970s.

In Celebration of Women's History Month: History of Women in Lions Clubs

Amy Porter, Pam Zicko, Linda Ahronian, Louise Kirkpatrick and Lisa Zais. Residents of Holliston will recognize these women’s names because they have all been recognized as Citizen of the Year for Holliston. But there’s something you may not know. These women also are part of the world’s largest service organization, Lions Clubs International (LCI). The Holliston Lions Club became part of LCI in 1941. At that time, women were not allowed to be part of Lions, despite the fact Lions obtained their mission — eradicating blindness — from a woman, specifically, Helen Keller. It is also worth noting that the “Lions Toast,” which is unique to Massachusetts and reads simply “Not above you, not beneath you but with you” was written by the wife of a Lions Club member in Lynn, Massachusetts.
