Holliston in Bloom announces this week's Floral and Landscape Award

by Paul Saulnier
August 8, 2018

Located on busy Central Street, this welcoming island oasis of perennials is a credit to the gradening skills of the owners.

When Wendy and Ged Gove moved in 28 years ago the front yard was all grass and asphalt.

A few trees were removed to make way for the circular driveway and brick walkway from the driveway to the front door.

Over the years the remaining spaces were filled with plantings.

Early August is not the best time for a rainbow of color in these gardens but the green holds the promise of more colors to come before Fall.

Wendy and Ged Gove enjoy gardening and have planted all around the house.

Wendy is especially proud of this Hawiian Cactus which she brings inside every year and out again in summer.

Thank you Wendy and Ged for helping to keep Holliston beautiful.
