Shore & Fenton to Represent Holliston in Lexington

September 29, 2018

The National America in Bloom Symposium is being held this weekend in Lexington, Kentucky and Holliston will be well represented. Last year Holliston opted to forego the judging portion of America in Bloom's programs and rather concentrate on hosting the national symposium.

Above (center) Cherry Fenton attending the 2017 symposium and Kathy Shore (this year's Holliston Community Champion as well as the co-chair of Holliston in Bloom along with Fenton) will represent Holliston

Holliston must now vie against other communities who hold the "Circle of Champions" distinction. That distinction is for cities and towns who have collected at least three national awards.

Earlier this summer, during Holliston's judging by America in Bloom, judges Shannon Beatty (left) of West Virginia and Doug Airhart (right) discuss Holliston's open spaces with Town Planner, Karen Sherman.

The symposium will run from Wednesday thru Sunday with an awards banquet on Saturday evening. The HollistonReporter.com will keep you up to date should Holliston win any awards.
