Great Pumpkin Walk a Smashing Success

by Bobby Blair
October 29, 2018

Parking was at a premium Sunday morning at Blair Square for the 4th Annual Pumpkin Walk. Cars filled the spaces on Front Street & the paved portion of the trail behind Casey's as well as the lower end of Railroad Street.

President of the Newcomers Club, Christel Dipipo told the HollistonReporter.com that attendance this year had already surpassed last year's rainy walk prior to the noon fire whistle. Dipipo, above, seated in pink hair, told the Reporter that funds from the event are used to support the Newcomers Community Grant Awards Program.

There was fun and games for all ages.

Above, Wells Riggs and dad Ryan came out to enjoy the festivities.

Future Holliston High basketball players practice their aim.

Young Sir Andrew Gelinas came to the event dressed as Cap't Hook.

MacKenzie Murphy turned up in her birthday suit.

The Downing family, Elin, Jill, Hadley and dad as Sister Leo enjoyed the day.

The trail was packed with wall to wall families as far as the eye could see, invoking shades of the popular 1st Night Walk on December 31st. Well done, Newcomers.

Thanks for checking it out, Bobby! A great big shout out to Julianne Catlin for all of her hard work chairing and organizing this fun event. She went above and beyond! We loved seeing everyone in their Halloween finest.
