LightUp Holliston Update

by Bobby Blair
November 16, 2018

LightUp Holliston Chairman Ed Daniels recently informed his committee, "We are in the thick of it now, Team!! We are 12 days from official lighting of Holliston and I wanted to update everyone about where we stand at this point. Last weekend we dug out our old Lions lights to start the decorating of the Police Station, Middlesex and Santander. Galvin Electric used their bucket truck to assist. New lights were delivered Wednesday, so we had Mike Tyman work on getting plugs attached to cut lengths of these. With 4000’ of strands, we had 4000 bulbs to screw into their sockets. The old hanging lantern posts were rewrapped with new garland plus bows and were mounted on poles on Sunday. We also wrapped old wreaths with mini lights (thank you, Vincent) to be hung off the end of the posts. I admit it’s not ideal, but it’s something (and inexpensive)."

Daniels also noted that the business community has stepped forward with monetary contributions and they include: Griffin Electric, Jason Green Plumbing & Heating, Gracefully Restored, Kamala’s Boutique, Thomas Chipman Electrical, Holliston Superette, Henry Studio, Holliston Jewelers, Soul Spirit Studio, Casey's and Coffee Haven. This list does not include previous supporters mentioned in an earlier article.
