Scratch One Hydrant

Police were called to the intersection of Ashland and Concord Streets on Friday morning at 7:35 am for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The incident took out a fence as well as a hydrant. The plug portion of the hydrant is underneath the vehicle above.

 

A DPW worker was quickly on the scene to turn off water to the hydrant. Sgt. George Leurini investigated

Further up the road near 420 Concord Street the 2nd vehicle involved was being detained by Officer Tim Heney for leaving the scene of an accident. The ambulance was not called to the scene.

At 2 pm a two vehicle minor accident occured at Pleasant Street and Washington - no details

At 2:30 pm a two vehicle rear ending  below occured in front of the Central Burial Grounds.
