December 17, 2018

Selectmen held a brief meeting on Monday night and due to upcoming holidays will not meet again until January. Selectman Mark Ahronian thanked Highway Chief Tom Smith & his crews for reconstructing a wall and stairway at the East Holliston Cemetery. Tina Hein of Union Street questioned selectmen in the public comments section of the meeting relative to thru trucking and left and right turns off of Washington Street in her Mudville neighborhood. Selectmen said she would have a chance to obtain answers when the board meets again with McMahon Associates.

A conservation restriction was signed for the Deer Run neighborhood and the board approved an event permit for the 1st Night Trail Walk sponsored by the Friends of Holliston Trails on December 31st from 5-8 pm.

Town Administrator Jeff Ritter announced that with a 100k grant from the state the town is ready to move forward with improvements at the Senior Center for the replacement of doors and windows.

Selectmen approved the signing of a contract with New England Golf for the management of Pinecrest Country Club.  New England Golf offered the town 186k more than the only other bidder for a 3 year contract.

Selectmen were notified that the owners of a dog the board ordered euthanized had appealed the board decision which was overturned by a judge magistrate. The dog was ordered out of town by the court. Selectmen voted to appeal the court's decision.
