Santa's sleigh was running on only five reindeer this year. As a result a long night but no speeding tickets.

December 16, 2018:

Just two citations and one warning were issued today. Holliston - a Good Town.

December 17:

00:15, Disturbance with arrest, 79 Hollis; report of several gunshots in the area. Darryl A. Bettis of Holliston for possession of and possession to distribute Class B drugs, unlawful possession of ammunition and fireworks and unlawful possession of and possession to distribute Class E drugs. Holliston - a not-so-good a town.

Check prisoner.

Traffic complaint, Union; report of aggressive driver in white pickup truck.

Investigation, 79 Hollis; summons issued to Darryl A. Bettis of Holliston for carrying a firearm without a license.

December 18:

Animal incident, 1790 Washington; dead deer on the side of the road. Hwy called.

Animal incident, 519 Adams; dead deer in the road. Hwy called again.

Crash, Washington & Concord; Newton versus Holliston. Minor.

December 19:

Fraud, Winthrop; bad check.

Animal incident, 908 Washington; dead deer. Hwy called. (Enough already. The freezer's full)..

Parking complaint, Baker; excavator parked on the street. Advised.

December 20:

Crash, Washington & Marked Tree; Somers, CT versus Franklin.

Animal incident, Kingsbury & Johnson; two dogs on the loose. GOA.

Animal incident, Central; report of "small dog walking up Central towards Fiske's General Store". HPD reunited dog with owner (heart warming story).

Crash, 4 High Rock; car versus pedestrian who was taken to hospital.

Crash, 1196 Highland; Ashland versus Medway. Drivers included a deer in the mix. Hometown Automotive called.

December 21:

Crash, 370 Hollis; Holliston driver didn't see the parked bright yellow school bus.

Crash, 415 Concord; Manchester NH car damaged private property.

Smoke & Fire, 290 Underwood; wire down and smell of gas near unoccupied house. Eversource called.

Crash, 726 Washington; two Milford cars exchanged paint and holiday greetings.

Crash, Washington & Highland; Hopkinton versus Holliston. Minor.

December 22:

Animal incident, 2274 Washington; caller found a malnourished dog. ACO notified.

Trafic complaint, Washington & Central; pedestrian advised to use crosswalk.

Notifications, calls from Washington and Pope by persons who will be shooting guns in the area.

During the reporting period, 18 citations and 12 warnings were issued. Three erratic drivers were reported.

Last week's lowlights include a rock party on Washington, a parade of one on Gretchen and one frustrated and creative driver solves the rush hour traffic problem down town (no he didn't shoot out the lights). Officers are taught to place a hand on the car as they approach. Why? Because if in the course of the stop the officer is murdered and the driver takes off, the officer's finger prints on the car will prove that he stopped the car.
