I'll Be Home for Christmas

by Chris Cain
December 25, 2018

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" has become a Christmas standard.  This Christmas song was written by the lyricist Kim Gannon and composer Walter Kent. Bing Crosby first recorded this perennial favorite in 1943 - scoring a top ten hit. Originally written to honor soldiers overseas during WW II who longed to be home at Christmas time, the song is hummed today as we remember its words and head to our holiday destinations.
