May Election Heating Up

by Bobby Blair
February 15, 2019

The local race for board of selectmen is showing interest with three potential candidates withdrawing nomination papers.

Tina Hein, above right, has withdrawn nomination papers for a three year term on the board of selectmen. Hein has been a vocal advocate at BOS meetings for safe streets in her neighborhood of Mudville.

Economic Development Committee member Matt Coletti above,  2nd from left, has thrown his hat into the ring. Coletti lives on Summitpointe Drive.

Current Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Jay Marsden, center, has also taken out nomination papers. Marsden is a Wendy Lane resident.

In the only other race shaping up, former finance committee & board of selectmen member Jay Leary has taken out nomination papers for the finance committee. Three present finance committee members, Ken Szajda, Daniel Alfred and Vincent Murphy have also taken out papers. Three positions are available.

Former Moderator Bill Mayer has taken out papers for his old job. Current Moderator Jackie Dellicker will not run again for the position this spring.
