When There's Smoke

At about 11:00 am today, Holliston Fire responded to an alarm from the Timothy Daniels House on Elm Street.

Chief Cassidy was the first responder on the scene.  He determined that smoke caused the alarm and that the site of the smoke was the employee break room.  More specifically, the microwave oven was the source of the smoke.  The Ladder Company and three Engine Companies responded.  Ultimately, the Ladder Company remained on the scene to exhaust the smoke.

To the nose of this reporter, there seemed to be the odor of burnt popcorn in the air.  This reporter grew up in the Jiffy Pop era and is quite familiar with the smell of scorched corn.  It is amazing how modern technology has been designed to replicate that smell from the middle of the last century!  (We'll have to wait for Chief Cassidy's next weekly log to learn the remaining facts.)
