Newcomers Princess and Superhero Party Was a Hit!

by Press Release
May 10, 2019

Holliston Newcomers & Neighbors’ 2nd annual Princess and Superhero party was a great success! Since we sold out our 250 capacity venue last year it was moved to Placentino Elementary’s cafetorium. There were added performances and specials that made it very entertaining and interactive.

After the initial meet and greet of Elsa, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Batman, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron Man and a stunning mermaid, the kids spanned out to enjoy crafts, hair by B. Luxe Salon, nail art, hair chalk, temporary glitter tattoos, face painting and an ice cream sundae bar.

Next Generation Martial Arts demonstrated some superhero moves and invited kids on the stage to practice, and break a couple of boards.

Ever After Storybook Entertainment followed with an interactive singing performance with Ariel, and dancing with Belle.

Holliston’s own, Starlight Kids Parties, wrapped up the event with a sing-a-long by Elsa, and dancing with Cinderella. Kids delighted in this very interactive party.

Officer Hagan and 2 year old, K9 Mattis, taught us about life as a police dog, and showed off some obedience training.

Raffle prizes were taken home by lucky winners. Thank you for the generous donations from C & L Frosty in Sherborn, Starbucks in Medway, Fiskes General Store, Tabetha’s Tutu Closet and Music Together were greatly appreciated.

All proceeds from this fundraiser go right back into the town of Holliston through our annual grant awards. Thanks to everyone for helping us give the proceeds right back to our community. Whether big or small, we all have the power to do good and give back.

Last year our Community Investments Committee awarded grants to the Holliston Fire Department for personal CO2 detectors, the public library for discounted museum passes, Parks and Recreation free summer concert series, Agricultural Commission for incubators, the Senior Center’s vegetable and herb gardens, and the Historical Society for weaving looms.

A very special thanks to Starlight Kids Parties, Ever After Storybook Entertainment, Next Generation Martial Arts, Holliston Police Department, two Holliston High School hockey players, and our members for a very memorable day!

We couldn’t have done it without our enthusiastic volunteers including various youth, b. Luxe Hair and Makeup Studio, Goldfish Swim School - Milford, Tink's Magical Vacations with Donna and Harelick Dental Associates of Holliston.

It was a magical, powerful and entertaining experience!   We hope you and your little ones had a wonderful time!

Thank you, The Princess and Superhero Party Co-chairs
