Memorial Day Services Schedule

Decoration of veterans graves will take place on Thursday May 23rd. Outlaying cemeteries and veterans squares will be decorated by veterans earlier in the day. Decoration of graves at St. Mary's & Lake Grove Cemeteries will begin at 5:00 pm.  Veterans are invited to join scouts at both locations.

Veterans are asked to assemble at the VFW meeting room, 310 Woodland St. on Memorial Day May 27th at 9:30 am. Veterans will travel via vehicles to Lake Grove Cemetery for services at 10 am & St. Mary's Cemetery at 10:30 am

For the parade on Monday May 27th, all units should gather in the parking lot of the Adams Middle School at 10:30 am. The parade begins promptly at 11 am from Woodland St. The parade route will be: Woodland to Church to Central to Washington and services at town hall. At the conclusion of town hall services, the parade will march to the police station for a flag raising and marchers are then invited to the Historical Society for refreshments.

Police Log for Week of June 9 - 15, 2019

Last week's lowlights include a rock party on Washington, a parade of one on Gretchen and one frustrated and creative driver solves the rush hour traffic problem down town (no he didn't shoot out the lights). Officers are taught to place a hand on the car as they approach. Why? Because if in the course of the stop the officer is murdered and the driver takes off, the officer's finger prints on the car will prove that he stopped the car.

Old Ironsides Commemorates D-Day

Photos courtesy of Tom Blair On Friday, June 7th, hundreds of active duty military and veterans were invited to be aboard the USS Constitution for a turn around in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day. A handful of members from Holliston's American Legion Post #47 were fortunate enough to be among those in attendance.
