Kids Start Collecting Their Produce Bounty

The question for organizers of the Learn to Grow program sponsored by Parks & Rec and hosted by the Community Farm was --- will the kids actually be able to take home some vegetables before the short six-session program concludes in early June.

While not all the crops that the kids planted are ready for harvesting, the stir fry peas, radishes and lettuce filled the kids' zip lock bags on Wednesday afternoon. In fact the program has worked so well that Community Farm Advisory Committee Chairwoman Kris Westland told the HollistonReporter.com that the program is being extended into a second session for the summer.
