Love Meat, but Consider the Climate

Love Meat, but Consider the Climate

Did you know that animal farming is one of the biggest contributors to climate change?  The solution is for all of us to eat less meat and animal products.  If you love your steak (as many do), at least buy meat and eggs that are certified organic and have a trustworthy animal welfare label.

When possible, buy locally sourced meats and animal products.  Organic meats have not been fed diets of growth hormones to make them grow to maturity faster and do not spend their lives in overcrowded conditions.  Maybe consider eliminating one meat-based meal a week, or try the “meatless meat” from suppliers such as Beyond Beef.  You might be surprised at the taste and consistency.
