Traffic Blocked at Medway town line

by Bobby Blair
September 5, 2019

A fladbed carrying wooden forms struck a utility pole Thursday afternoon at the Holliston/Medway townline on Norfolk Street near Hill Street. Drivers were requested not to use Norfolk Street (via a sign at the intersection of Central & Norfolk Streets) but most drivers seemed to ignore the sign. The road was blocked at the townline and drivers were rerouted.

Verizon trucks were observed coming up Norfolk Street at 4:05 pm to replace the damaged pole.

I ignored the sign because I never saw it, entering Norfolk Street via Vine Street (I live in Mudville) - a lot of traffic was turning around with no place to go - I was on my way to Millis (bowling) and had to pull a u-turn and head over via Central Street - the past year in Holliston has been tough getting from here to there and everywhere
