Concussion Management and ImPACT Testing.

Holliston Youth Sports comprised of Baseball, Football, Basketball, Soccer
and Lacrosse have joined together to sponsor a discussion on Concussion
Management and ImPACT testing.

Monday, June 11th, 7 - 9 PM at the High School

The goal of the evening is to provide awareness regarding what concussions are, how to know when it is safe to return to school and sports, what effects the concussion might have on the student in the classroom and what are strategies coaches can employ to strengthen our athletes to be best prepared for each game they play.

ImPACT is a company that offers baseline testing which measures the cognitive skills of the student athlete. If a concussion results, the baseline test can be used to again measure the student athlete's cognitive skills and aid in concussion management.

ImPACT baseline testing will be made available in the summer of 2012 for all Holliston Youth Sports athletes. The panel discussion has been designed to create awareness, provide information and answer any questions the audience might have pertaining to concussions.
