The Friends of the Holliston Public Library will present their third annual Lego Fest on Saturday, March 4 at Upper Town Hall in Holliston.  Lego Fest helps children learn engineering principles through legos.  Workshops are run by Play-Well TEKnologies in three sessions: 10-11:30 am; 12-1:30 pm; and 2-3:30 pm.  One group per session is for ages 5-7 and the other is for ages 8-12. All legos and instruction are provided.

Tickets can be purchased at the children's desk of the library with cash or by check for $10 per child per session.  No refunds or exchanges.  This program sold out quickly last year and participants are encouraged to purchase tickets early.  Families will also have a chance to enter free raffles for prizes by becoming Friends members and all children will receive discount coupons from Fiske’s General Store to use to purchase Legos on March 4.

For more info call 508-429-0617 or visit www.hollistonlibrary.org.  For more info on Play-Well visit www.play-well.org.

Contaminants were found in the raw water, not our drinking water, Except for naturally-occurring Manganese, the drinking water meets or exceeds the standards. "The researchers wrote that the findings suggest the area’s aquifer system is also vulnerable." The Water Department has tested for many of the other chemicals in the driniking water and found none. The wells referred to were private wells.
