Woods Fire Stopped Just Short of Structures

Fire crews were called to 33 Briarcliff Lane at 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.


While the origin of the fire is unknown at this time, the fire had spread to nearby woods, was heading towards a house on North Mill Street and had ignited a large firewood pile located at 33 Briarcliff Lane.The fire was stopped at a woodpile , just feet from a garage located just to the left of next  year's heating fuel.

Firefighters had cleared the scene by 4:42 p.m.
