There is a need from our local Veterans, and Vesta Real Estate Group has teamed up with Thanks To Yanks to support these heroes.

If you are in a position to assist in this drive, please consider picking up a gift card or food items and dropping it off in the convenient Drop-off location of Vesta Real Estate Group, 330 Woodland St in Holliston.  The collection will continue until Dec 20th.

Mike Shain created Thanks To Yanks in 2006 as a non-political 501(c)(3) organization to support veterans and their families.  A 9/11 tribute dinner each year for military families and veterans has grown to 400+ guests that shows how much we appreciate them.  Throughout the year the group fills gaps in the system that support our veterans.

“We heard from our local Veterans officer that there was a need and we jumped into action”, Mike says.  The Thanks To Yanks program teamed with Medway Oil Service to secure some home heating oil for the winter months, but the following is still needed from the public:

• Food or grocery gift cards
• Gas gift cards
• Clothing/clothing gift cards  – (we have one 18yr old college freshman female)
• Entertainment items like movie theatre tickets or Netflix gift cards.

There is a secure, locked mailbox located at Vesta Real Estate Group’s office where cards can be deposited if you are unable to arrange drop offs during the day.  Call Ed Daniels at 508-341-7880 to ensure someone is at the Vesta office for any other drop off arrangements.
