Lighten the Lint Load

With cold weather here, many of us transfer our clothes drying indoors.  Clothes dryers not only dry your clothes, but as your lint filter proves, they also remove fibers.  Lint filters that become covered with fibers radically cut down on the efficiency of your clothes dryer.  The more lint, the more energy wasted.

Before each drying cycle, remove accumulated lint from the filter, even if it is only a thin layer.  Also, to maintain efficiency over the winter months, disconnect the outlet hose and use a vacuum to suck out lint that has accumulated over the last year, further blocking air flow and efficiency.
