December 14 is the 7th anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Newtown, CT. This year, 2019, is also the year of the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting in Columbine, CO.

Members of the Holliston Democratic Town Committee invite the community to join them in a candlelight vigil to mark these anniversaries and to remember the victims, and the loved ones they left behind.

The public vigil will take place Saturday, Dec. 14 at 4:00 pm on the Green at the Congregational Church in Holliston. Participants will take a moment during this busy holiday season to remember the 20 children and 6 adult victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, the 13 victims of the Columbine shooting, as well as all victims of all forms of gun violence in America.

Participants will be welcome to make brief comments, offer readings or share personal stories during the vigil.

The public is invited to attend. Candles will be provided and light refreshments offered.
