Holliston Lions Club Gives Thanks

As one of the most visible service organizations in town, we feel it is our responsibility to make sure how much everyone in the community knows how much their support means to us, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year.

The downtown lighting is not the only thing we participate in during the month of December. Your holiday would be incomplete without Breakfast with Santa which took place on December 8th at Placentino School Cafetorium. We collected more than 25 new toys for the Toys for Tots program as well as several pounds of items for the Holliston Pantry Shelf.
We did not stop there! So far this year, thanks to your help, we have been able to donate 85 coats to our annual Coats for Kids collection. Additionally, thanks to some great coordination between the Holliston Senior Center, we collected more than 500 pounds of clothing which will be turned into cash for our Pennies for Sight donations which go to Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, Inc. In total, thanks to your efforts, we added $137.25 to our Pennies for Sight contribution.

Along with our ongoing participation in the Pantry Shelf’s Christmas Gifts drive, for the second year in a row, Lions Clubs members and other members of the community will be delivering homemade meals on Christmas Eve for those who may be spending the holidays’ alone. If you know someone who may need a meal, please reach out to the Holliston Senior Center.

The members of the Holliston Lions Club would like to thank all of our sponsors as well as the members of the Holliston community for your ongoing support, not only during this busy time of year, but throughout the last 79 years. Without your continued support, it would be impossible for us to continue to live up to our Lions motto “We Serve”. We extend our best wishes for a happy and joyous holiday to you and your families.
