Our Balancing Rock Becomes A Leaning Rock

After thousands of years since the Ice Age receded, our balancing ‘HollyRock’ succumbed to the forces of nature on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.

Normally, citizens call the police with a tip. Tuesday we received a tip from HPD that Officer Scott Downey observed what has never been seen in Holliston before.

George Washington’s troops and countless others tried – but today the balance was disrupted.
Imagine the sheets of ice pushing rocks this size scraping the earth as seen here that created New England’s topography and off-shore islands.
No matter which way you look at it – the rock is no longer balancing!

Is there any information about what happened or who did this?

I bet gravity and erosion finally won out.

Who did this? Mother Nature did this. The earth is always moving, it was bound to happen. My opinion of course.

Been trying & trying to think of words to express how I fell about this but can’t find any. Unbelievable after all this time.

Hmmm. The second photo resembles a smiling face. The deCordova Museum has something similar on display albeit much smaller. Consider this Holliston’s outdoor art.

Let’s all come to grips with our mortality, people! It’s called “the passage of time .”

And Was balancing rock really THAT epic?!
It wasn’t an old man in the mountain. I hope our founding father didn’t waste his time trying to push it over .

2020 did this. In hindsight we should have seen this coming.
