Karen (O’Connell) Loftus at 64

Karen (O’Connell) Loftus, 64, of Holliston, passed away peacefully with her family at her hospital bedside on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Her death was due to complications from neuroendocrine cancer. She was an incredible wife and best friend to Edward Loftus for over 38 years.

Karen’s friendly personality and positive nature brought joy everywhere she went. She spoiled her family for years with her well-known culinary skills. Every family event came with anticipation of terrific meals and desserts from Karen. She was a dedicated employee of Charles River Bank for over 15 years and considered it like her a second family.

In addition to her husband, Karen is survived by three children, Alice Brossi and her husband, Jeff of Franklin, Robert Loftus and his wife, Jacqueline of Tarpon Springs, FL, and John Loftus and his partner, Danielle Gard of Franklin. Karen is also survived by her mother, Mary Parker of Canton and her father, Thomas O’Connell of Dedham. She leaves behind her siblings, Margaret O’Neill and her husband, Jack of Brockton, Amy Freeland and her husband, Steve of Easton, and Sean O’Connell and his wife Kristina of Easton; as well as four grandchildren who Karen adored.

A private family graveside gathering will take place at Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
