Civics Sunday: Town Meeting Logistics

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
LOGISTICS

ARRIVAL / CHECK-IN
If you are feeling ill, are exhibiting any of the following symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell), or have potentially been exposed to someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, do not attend the Annual Town Meeting.

  • Enter through the front door of the Holliston High School (370 Hollis Street).
  • Walk on the right side of the stanchions.
  • Maintain 6’ distancing in line.
  • Register your attendance with one of the checkers at the table.
  • Receive a colored slip of paper to be used for any hand votes. Pick up handouts or supporting documentation from the resource tables.
  • Proceed to the designated seating areas (primary: auditorium, secondary: cafeteria. tertiary: field house).
  • Do not sit in a seat in the auditorium that has a sign which says LEAVE THIS SEAT EMPTY, or move seats in the cafe or gym.
  • Seating has been arranged to comply with social distancing requirements of indoor event spaces.
  • Non-residents and non-registered voters will be directed to the library.

SPEAKING
If you wish to make public comments during discussion of an article on the warrant, there will be designated locations for each of the seating areas. Continue to observe social distancing while others are speaking. Do not touch or adjust A/V equipment.

FACE COVERINGS
While on school grounds, all attendees must wear approved face coverings before, during, and after Town Meeting, including while speaking. Any person who refuses to wear a face covering or mask without a valid medical justification may be denied entry or asked to leave.

EXIT / DEPARTURE
Row-by-row exiting will be directed in each of the seating areas. Follow the instructions of the staff and observe directional travel restrictions.
