“Celebrating on Central” in 2021

Celebrate Holliston Tradition Continues on September 18th

After an unprecedented cancellation in 2020, due to the pandemic, the 30th annual Celebrate Holliston festivities will continue this year on September 18th, in a new location. This year, Celebrate Holliston is excited to be “Celebrating on Central” Street. The downtown, street-party style event will stretch down Central Street (closed from Washington Street to Blair Square) to bring the community together in a family-friendly, spaced-out, outdoor space – with the additional benefit of offering walking and biking access directly from the Rail Trail.

This day, celebrating our town pride, is possible due to the many local business sponsors that embody the energy and spirit that make Holliston such a special community.  The event will kick-off at 10:00am, to honor two local “Citizens of the Year” that have selflessly contributed to the Holliston community. There will be no parade during this year’s modified event. The event will run until 3:00pm. The rain date will be September 25, 2021.

An assortment of booths will line Central Street offering the opportunity to visit with local vendors and artisans and enjoy the neighborhood eateries and resident performers. Children’s offerings will include a free photo booth, scavenger hunt, t-shirt tie-dying ($10, shirt included), bike/scooter decorating contest, and assorted crafts.

If interested in becoming an event sponsor, reserving a booth, volunteering your time, or for any event updates, please visit the Celebrate Holliston website at: http://www.celebrateholliston.com/.

I feel we should still have a parade, and if we need more room for social distancing let’s add a few more streets.
That’s one of the best pleasures of Celebrating Holliston, because the parade is so diverse
