Summer Concert Series Ends with National Night Out 2022

The Holliston Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series wrapped up Tuesday, August 2nd with kid-centric music by “Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys.” August 2nd was also “National Night Out,” an annual community-police awareness event.

(L-R) SGT Ken Belson, Auxiliary Officer / Dispatcher James Ray, Traffic Safety Officer Charles Grace, and Chief Matthew Stone

Holliston Police brought out personnel and equipment to prompt interaction with young and old citizens as they enjoyed the music.

Chief Stone pointed out that the Massachusetts National Guard jumped right on board when they were contacted to be part of the event. The youngsters really seemed to enjoy the “camo” inflatables.

Just in case anyone enjoyed the camo activities SFC Jason O’Brien (below right) and SPC Quentin Michel (below left) were on hand from the Army National Guard recruiting office.

Above left, Ray Fellows and Nessie Hobson, and above right, Bucky the Buckleupasaurus, were on hand to promote car seat safety, one part of Children Across America -> https://www.childrenacrossamerica.org/what-we-do/kids-safety-programs/

T.C. Scoops stopped by at all the concerts to help beat the summer heat.

The Park & Recreation Summer Concert Series 2022 was sponsored by donations from the Holliston Newcomers and Neighbors, Middlesex Savings Bank, and the Holliston Cultural Council.
