Fatima Shrine Marks 75 Years with Week-Long Celebration

Fatima Shrine happily presents a weeklong celebration of its 75 years in Holliston.

Thursday, September 8th. Our regional Bishop, Bishop Robert Reed, will mark the very day 75 years ago when Archbishop Richard J Cushing came to the newly acquired farmhouse to bless and inaugurate their mission ministry.

Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. A Craft Fair featuring various vendors displaying their handmade crafts in five categories:

  • Fine Art:  Paintings, photography, drawings, and sculpture,
  • Fine Craft:  Pottery, glassworks, and wood
  • Fiber Art:  Quilting, clothing, knitting, and cross stitch
  • Jewelry
  • Demonstrations:  Pottery and jewelry.

We will have a door prize along with a raffle of various items donated by each vendor. An admission of $3.00 will include a raffle ticket for our Door Prize and tickets for Vendor raffles.

Additionally, on September 10, an appreciation of the gifts and graces given to these people from above, a reunion of former students along with informative meetings about the Xaverian missionary work.

September 11.  An outdoor Mass at 10:00 am concluding with a family picnic on the grounds. A Food Truck may be provided. Cardinal Sean O’Malley has been invited to join us.

To commemorate this special occasion and mark this milestone, four granite “Peace Pillars” will be erected on the grounds of the shrine near the entrance. A special color souvenir book has been created containing the story of the 75 years through pictures and text. Come join the fun and help support Fatima Shrine….
