On Saturday November 5, 2022, Holliston Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 75346 will hold an electronics and metal recycling event from 9AM to 1PM at in the Placentino Elementary School parking lot.  Troop 75346 is raising money for troop travel and community service activities this year.

Electronics and metal items can be brought to the Placentino parking lot, where some friendly Girl Scouts will help you unload. Recycling rates for large items range from $10 for microwaves to $50 for barbeque grills, stoves, dishwashers, and other large appliances. Most TVs and air conditioners are $25 per unit. A general donation to the troop is requested for smaller items such as laptop computers, speakers, cell phones, and cameras. All electronic items are accepted. Metals must be untreated, so no non-stick pots and pans.

Last year we camped in Vermont while completing the local food journey. Troop 75346 also uses money raised for our community service activities, including maintaining the pollinator garden we built at the Holliston Community Farm, and supplies to support the wrapping of gifts for the Holliston Senior Center’s Gifts for Seniors program.
